Boao BFA Tourist Center

Location: Hainan, China

Site Area: 1.017 ha

Building Area: 2,560 sqm

Client: China COSCO Shipping Group

The design of the Boao BFA Tourist Center integrates the ecological urban concept of higher-level planning, aiming to create an eco-friendly and natural experiential space. Drawing inspiration from traditional village roof forms and emphasizing natural growth as its theme, the architecture emerges amidst the mountains and forests like bamboo shoots after the rain. Through the design of 360° open windows, the building seamlessly blends with the surrounding landscape, creating a space with a sense of breathability. In order to provide more comprehensive distribution and supporting facilities, the traditional concept of parking is discarded in favor of green, organic light and shadow parking spaces.

The design of the Boao BFA Tourist Center is dedicated to creating a space that harmoniously coexists with nature while incorporating elements of Chinese traditional culture, providing the forum with unique and meaningful architectural symbols.
