The design concept for the extension of Songlei Shopping Mall aims to bring the rich historical connotations of the city and historical buildings outdoors, expressing them on the plaza and building facade. The design establishes a close connection between the old building and the new mall, creating a new high-end consumption area and cultural landmark in the city. The concept revolves around creating a stage where the facade of the mall becomes a scene. By treating a portion of the facade with transparent or semi-transparent materials and introducing a two-story high internal atrium, shoppers can immerse themselves in the space. At night, with the illumination of decorative lights, the mall becomes a glowing entity, and the internal lighting illuminates the entire plaza.
